Rock bands come and go, but sometimes - and only occassionally - one pops up that is destined for longevity.
Let's face it, if you love music, then you can smell a flash in the pan from a mile away.
These days it takes more than a pretty smile and a submissive attitude to survive. It takes attitude, and defiance - and of course just a sprinkle of old fashioned cheekiness - and God help anyone who dares stand in the way.
Mizzie Maxx isn’t just a band. It’s a visceral sonic experience. Hailing from Brisbane, Queensland, this glam pop rock quartet fuses the over-the-top drama of ‘80s glam rock and metal with a modern twist that colours so far out of the box that you can't help but jump on for the ride. Think big hair, bold riffs, and an emotional rollercoaster that swings from chaos to catharsis.
Now wrap that in a pretty pink bow and throw a guitar strap over your shoulder and the picture soon becomes clearer.
Led by Mizzie Maxx on vocals and rhythm guitar, the band features Misha shredding lead guitar, Shane laying down basslines that punch through your soul, and Shep bringing the heartbeat on drums. Together, they create a sound that’s both familiar and fresh—each song a different beast, each show a full-on spectacle. With a debut EP in the works and tours lined up for this year and beyond, Mizzie Maxx is determined to bring the connection between rock music and passion back to where it belongs.
Inside each and every heart and soul it touches. Their music transcends boundaries, with tracks that span genres and dig deep into emotional highs and insufferable lows. One minute you’re headbanging in a leather jacket, the next you’re wiping away glitter-streaked tears. If you’re hungry for the thrill of the past but also craving something that screams tomorrow, come and find Mizzie Maxx. This is where glam lives, dies, and is reborn.
